Hi Jane, The banks are still running the show, just watch Mandelson on newsnight, still reinventing the wheel to solve the problems of recession. Sweden 1990 the recovery model is already there.Roger Bootle appearing before select committee circa Oct/Nov08 stated that if banks do not lend then pass legislation to force them. Mandelson,is stalling for time, while jobs are lost.Govt needs to control Banks.I am very frustrated at lack of govt control,two consecutive BNP marches in the city this is fertile ground for the far right,relatives in London tell me tensions are mounting between white and minorities,No more money to banks unless we fully control the show, and no talk of an elction until next year people would not be interested in listening to me me me or I I I.Iam fearful of the political consequences of these unprecedented times.
